GET TO KNOW US
While working with the biggest sales agencies in the outdoor industry, we were selling a wide range of products, in many different channels including shooting sports, fishing, marine, camping, and archery. Having a diversified portfolio can be a good thing, but with too many customers spread across too many channels, we started to feel like we were spread so thin we could not give our manufacturers the time and service they deserved. We all agreed that there was a need for a channel specific agency in the fishing and marine space. By staying niche, PSS could be experts in one channel, and by focusing on selling in that channel every single day, forming successful and long lasting relationships with the best brands in the industry.

Jeremiah Dietrich
Co-Owner
Jeremiah is the youngest of three boys and grew up in Southern California in a very sports oriented family. Both parents played in an adult co-ed softball league for many years, the oldest brother played high school soccer and second oldest played baseball, so naturally he played both growing up. Throughout his youth, annual family summer camping trips to the Western Sierra Mountains taught him how to trout fish. So, working within the fishing tackle industry couldn’t be more fitting to who Jeremiah is today. Jeremiah and his wife, Christine, have a handful of four-legged children in the way of dogs and horses that roam their Central California ranch. Jeremiah graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management before getting involved with sales. His top customers include Tackle Warehouse, Big Rock Sports and Pitman Creek Wholesale.

Chris Bonaparte

Chris was born and raised in Southern California where he was introduced to the sport of fishing from his parents at a very young age. Chris has become a passionate lifelong fisherman along with his brother Alex where they grew up fishing at Lake Mission Viejo for every species of fish with largemouth bass being their primary target species. Chris studied Business Administration at Saddleback College before excepting his first job within the Fishing Tackle Industry. Chris has acquired superior product knowledge that has help him successfully grow new fishing tackle brands within the Southwestern region of the United States. Chris’s primary accounts are Big 5 Sporting Goods, Scheels, Turner’s Outdoorsman along with multiple regional distributors and various independent retail stores.

Ryan Blackmun
Co-Owner
Ryan was born in Southern California and went on his first camping trip at six weeks old. He was fortunate to have family and several very close uncles that indoctrinated him into the fishing world. Ryan spent the bulk of his youth fishing everything from the California Coast, Baja Mexico, Sierra Nevada Mountains, and everything body of water in between. The only other activity that could match the passion Ryan had for fishing was baseball. Playing catcher exclusively as a child, then high school, then college, taught him how to be a leader, how to be tough, and how to manage different personalities. The life lessons learned from fishing and baseball have translate well in the business world. Ryan currently lives in Cave Creek, Arizona with his beautify family which includes his wife Maggie, daughter Charlie, and son Bo, where they enjoy fishing, hiking, and traveling. His top customers include Sportsmans Warehouse, Costco, North 40, Murdocks, and Big R.

Steve Newman
Sales
Steve was born and raised in the foothills of the California Sierra Nevada Mountains. Growing up in the CA Central Valley, an outdoor adventure was in every direction. From foothill reservoirs and rivers to high sierra lakes and streams, the opportunities were abundant. Annual family camping & fishing trips provided the inspiration for a lifelong love of nature and the outdoors. Fishing sometimes made it hard to find time for other hobbies. But Steve’s hard work and dedication paid off when a football scholarship took him to the Midwest to fulfill a dream of playing college football. This gave him the perfect opportunity to broaden his fishing skills with the challenge of various new species, techniques and ever-changing weather. To this day, fishing and the preservation of fishing for future generations is what drives Steve’s passion. This passion has turned into a career and combines a lifetime of knowledgeable experiences in fresh & saltwater fishing, manufacturing, marketing and outdoor retail sales. Steve treasures the values instilled in him from his parents of loyalty, hard work, dedication and following your dreams. Steve earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from CSU San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly) in 2000.
